About the trail

A 300 km walk through Sri Lanka's tea country

The Pekoe Trail is a long-distance hiking route winding across 22 stages through the central highlands of Sri Lanka. From the colonial-era plantation town of Kandy to the wind-swept patanas of Nuwara Eliya and the misty peaks above Ella, the trail connects working tea estates, hill villages, forest reserves and viewpoints into one continuous journey on foot.
